The Guitar Gods Australia website began a year ago after Perth's Graham Greene (www.grahamgreene.com.au/) was invited to perform at the East Coast's Guitar Heroes (www.guitarheroes.com.au/) in Sydney, October 2007. Friendships were forged in the east at the time of the Guitar Heroes gig, one of which was between Donna Greene and legendary bass player, Bob Daisley. Donna is the lead singer and co-writer for Resonance Project (Perth) who shared the bill with Kahvas Jute at the Guitar Heroes shows in Sydney. (More on Donna below). Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England 1966, John began playing the drums aged 11. He studied with Barry Black at Ronnie Pearson’s ‘Drum Shop’ and made his first recordings in the shops basement studio aged 14. He became a full-time professional on leaving school at 16 with The Don Smith Band at Newcastle’s Mayfair Ballroom. After playing many Cabaret Clubs, Cruises and Summer Seasons, he moved to London in the mid 1980’s.
