In the heart of the beautiful Blackwood River Valley is Bridgetown. Three hours drive south of Perth, the town is famous for its misty mornings, rolling hills and a stunning location next to the Blackwood River.

With its valleys and steep slopes, tall forests and wonderful scenic drives, it is one of the most picturesque towns in Western Australia.

The old world charm and warm hospitality of Bridgetown makes it a unique destination for those who cherish the less hectic side of life.

Bridgetown is the centre of a thriving and attractive district where, apart from tourism, the major industries are timber, mining and horticulture (fruits, vegetables, nuts, olives, wineries). The town boasts galleries, wineries, a cidery, cafes & restaurants, a variety of accommodation, bushwalks, great mountain-biking and more!

Bridgetown is renowned for hosting events and festivals such as: Summer Soiree in February, The Lawn Tennis Championship Tournament at Easter, State Downriver Kayaking Championships in August, The Bridgetown Bowling Gala and the Blackwood Classic Power Boat Race in September, the Blackwood Marathon in October, the festival of Country Gardens, and the Bridgetown Agricultural Show in November.

Every year in November, Bridgetown comes alive with the Blues at Bridgetown Festival. This event grows in popularity every year, attracting world class musicians and large crowds.

When West Met East - Bob Daisley
The Guitar Gods Australia website began a year ago after Perth's Graham Greene (www.grahamgreene.com.au/) was invited to perform at the East Coast's Guitar Heroes (www.guitarheroes.com.au/) in Sydney, October 2007. Friendships were forged in the east at the time of the Guitar Heroes gig, one of which was between Donna Greene and legendary bass player, Bob Daisley.  Donna is the lead singer and co-writer for Resonance Project (Perth) who shared the bill with Kahvas Jute at the Guitar Heroes shows in Sydney.  (More on Donna below).   Bob Daisley is best remembered for his work ...Read more

CRAIG PINKNEY 'The City and The Sea' 2009
CRAIG PINKNEY 'The City and The Sea' 2009   So how would I describe Craig's music?...pensive, soulful, soothing, uplifting are words that first spring to mind.Vocally, with Craig, one never knows what to expect, as his relaxed but powerful voice soars to heights that make you listen up and say 'Wow! How was that!' He was impressive when he fronted Perth Hard Rock Legends SARACEN at the Music Industry Reunion Show at Metropolis in 2009, however, 'The City and the Sea', Craig's debut album, is decidedly different, and presents a softer side to his brilliant songwriting. Quite a few...Read more
