The band will perform at the Charles Hotel on Wednesday 11 November and the Fly By Night in Fremantle on Thursday 12 November 2009.

Burke Shelley on Bass & Vocals, Steve Williams on drums and long time friend Craig Goldy (DIO) on guitars.

The raw energy of this band was a catalyst for the U.K. classic rock/metal scene in the early 70‘s. Power Rock at it's finest

Special guest is Australian guitar legend Phil Emmanuel.

Friday night kicks-off with The Floors at the Charles in North Perth and Saturday's rage sees The Creptter Children bring their unique style to the Fly By Night in Fremantle.

Craig-Goldy_DB.jpgCOSSAC Entertainment in Conjunction with Craig Goldy's DESTINY BRIDGE program invite bands and solo performers of all styles to express their interest in being part of a National competition to find musicians that will benefit from being accepted into the Destiny Bridge Program in Australia. The Destiny Bridge program gives you access to advice from Craig who is of course guitarist with DIO & Budgie. He is also a member of the Grammy Board in the U.S. and has many years of dealing with the music industry at the highest level as a musician & a producer. Craig has assisted bands that were only playing pubs gigs in the U.S. to achieve their dream of playing at international rock festivals which I have witnessed for myself. The initial stages of the competition will involve selection from the quality of your demo music/web page/myspace profile before a play-off by the 5-6 groups that are selected to compete.

Bands will be judged on quality of song writing, presentation and popular approval (applause). Prizes will include a one on one supper and drinks with Craig on the night to discuss your act and get tips that may save you a lot of time and money as you try and establish your position in the market. Other prizes of tickets to the BUDGIE concert to see Craig in action, after show passes to have a drink with these legendary rockers plus other musical and cash prizes from the show sponsors will be announced.

Participants chances of support gigs on any future COSSAC promoted tours with BUDGIE or other bands would be greatly enhanced too. W.A. & S.A. bands please contact me if interested. Budgie will be attending as guests & judges along with other celebrity guests and will have a signing/meet the fans before the competition kicks-off.

CRAIG PINKNEY 'The City and The Sea' 2009
CRAIG PINKNEY 'The City and The Sea' 2009   So how would I describe Craig's music?...pensive, soulful, soothing, uplifting are words that first spring to mind.Vocally, with Craig, one never knows what to expect, as his relaxed but powerful voice soars to heights that make you listen up and say 'Wow! How was that!' He was impressive when he fronted Perth Hard Rock Legends SARACEN at the Music Industry Reunion Show at Metropolis in 2009, however, 'The City and the Sea', Craig's debut album, is decidedly different, and presents a softer side to his brilliant songwriting. Quite a few...Read more
