The Guitar Gods Australia website began a year ago after Perth's Graham Greene (www.grahamgreene.com.au/) was invited to perform at the East Coast's Guitar Heroes (www.guitarheroes.com.au/) in Sydney, October 2007.
Friendships were forged in the east at the time of the Guitar Heroes gig, one of which was between Donna Greene and legendary bass player, Bob Daisley. Donna is the lead singer and co-writer for Resonance Project (Perth) who shared the bill with Kahvas Jute at the Guitar Heroes shows in Sydney. (More on Donna below).
Bob Daisley is best remembered for his work with (in no particular order) Widowmaker, Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore, Uriah Heap, Kahvas Jute, Chicken Shack, Mungo Jerry, Blizzard of Ozz, Mother's Army, The Hoochie Coochie Men and more recently 'Living Loud', a group fleshed out with Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse, Uriah Heep drummer Lee Kerslake and Deep Purple keyboardist Don Airey, the latter both old mates of Bob's from the Ozzy Osbourne daze (pun intended - B.D.). The project realised Bob's long-held dream of re-imagining songs from the classic 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman' albums. Bob and Jon Lord also worked together on 'The Hoochie Coochie Men' featuring a circle of friends including fellow Living Loud band mate Jimmy Barnes and Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan.

Years of requests from many, many people across the globe for Bob to write a book about his life in music is finally being realised!
While there is still a while to wait, we can tell you that this is going to be one of the best reads money can buy.
Bob tells us, "The whole thing is my life from a musical point of view which includes everyone I've ever worked with. There are road stories, studio stories, funny stories, tragic ones and inside stories too. Not everyone will come off looking good but I haven't dug any dirt, done any name calling or sensationalized anything, just everything that happened, how it happened and who was involved. The most important aspect, I think, is that I'm doing it all myself, no 'ghost writers' or co-writers. It's from me, my diaries and my memory, which by the way is very good fortunately."
Bob will be seeking the RIGHT publisher for his book (yet to be titled) - an historical musical journey that can only be written by Bob himself - unabashed, unedited and in his own words.
